We’ve been working out of Jayas Society in Goregaon East for some time now. Our office is at 2/8, right in the Jay Prakash Nagar area. Mumbai is a tough place to find space, so we’re lucky to have this spot. It’s close to the highway and the station, though the traffic on the Western Express is always a nightmare. Durabuild Technologies Pvt Ltd is basically just a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of energy. It’s noisy outside and sometimes noisy inside too. We’ve got a lot of history in this office, and you can see it in the way the walls are covered with old calendars and notes. It’s not a polished environment. There are wires running along the floor and stacks of papers that need filing. We work long hours here, mostly because that’s just how Mumbai is. Everyone is always in a hurry. We have a small pantry where we make tea, which is basically the fuel for the whole office. We know the local guys who deliver lunch boxes and the people in the neighboring units. It’s a tight-knit place. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just turn up, deal with the problems of the day, and try to get things right. It’s honest work and we’re happy to be doing it here.
