Good Luck Glass

We are located at Gala No. 5/6 at 128 Duncan Road, right on M. A. Road. If you are standing opposite the Alishan Hotel, you can see our shop quite clearly. Working with glass means we have to be careful every single day. The sound of cutting glass is something you never really get out of your head. It’s a busy spot here, and the traffic on Duncan Road is always humming. We have a lot of large sheets stacked against the walls, so there isn’t much room to walk around. You have to watch your step. The hotel across the street is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We spend most of our hours measuring and trimming pieces to fit whatever the customer needs. It’s a bit dusty with all the glass particles, so we try to sweep up as often as we can. We’ve been in this gala for quite a while and the neighbors know us well. It gets pretty hot during the middle of the day, but we keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes down the street. Sometimes a customer brings in a piece they broke and we have to see if we can match it. It’s practical work and it keeps us busy from morning until we lock up in the evening. There isn't any fancy showroom here, just the workshop and our tools. We just try to make sure every edge is smooth before it leaves.
