Dr Apte Maternity Hospital

Our hospital is right on the ground floor of Ronda Apartment in Malad West. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for the mothers who are heavy with child to get inside without worrying about stairs or elevators. It’s a local place, so you’ll often see families from the nearby blocks sitting in our waiting room. We have some chairs lined up against the wall and a small desk where we keep track of everyone’s records. It gets pretty lively here when a new baby arrives, and you can hear the staff moving around in the back. We’ve been in Malad for a long time, and the building itself has that lived-in feel. The windows look out onto the street, so there’s always the sound of rickshaws and people walking by. It’s not a quiet, sterile place like some big corporate hospital; it feels more like a part of the neighborhood. We spend our mornings checking on patients and our afternoons doing paperwork. The air smells like antiseptic and sometimes the tea someone brought from the local stall. People usually find us just by walking through Ronda Apartment or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s a straightforward setup where we just focus on the mothers and their little ones. We don't have fancy lights or a big lobby, just the rooms we need and a place for people to sit while they wait for news about their relatives. It's a simple, busy hospital that has seen many families come and go.
