Our shop is situated on the 4th floor of the Ijmima Complex in Mindspace, Malad West. We’re in Unit 409. We work with all kinds of gems and jewelry every day. It’s quite different from the typical jewelry stores you see on the street level. People have to take the elevator up to find us. Our workspace has plenty of light because we really need to see the stones and the metal clearly to do a good job. We spend our hours sorting through stones, weighing them, and checking for any tiny flaws. It’s mostly quiet work that requires a lot of patience. We don't have those big, flashy glass displays like you find in the malls. We focus more on the actual pieces themselves and the quality of what we’re handling. Malad West is such a busy area, especially around Mindspace, so there’s always a lot of noise and traffic outside our windows. Inside the unit, we just stick to our workbenches and desks. We have some security measures in place, which is normal for this kind of business. It’s a small, tight-knit group of us working here. We know our gems well after doing this for so many years. Sometimes we stay late into the evening to finish a specific piece for a client. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people hear about us from others in the trade. It’s a steady, honest routine that we have going on here.
