Our shop is right on Link Road at number 6 in Malad. It’s a spot where there’s always a lot of traffic passing by. Most of our time is spent in the back, working with the dough and keeping the ovens running hot. You can hear the hum of the machines and the sound of the delivery bikes pulling in and out of the lot all day long. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like the energy. We have a small seating area, but most people just order and take their boxes to go. The floor usually has a bit of flour on it by the afternoon, no matter how much we sweep. We have a screen that tells us what to make next, and we just follow the orders as they pop up. It gets really intense on Friday nights when everyone in Malad seems to want pizza at the same time. The staff here is mostly young, and we help each other out when things get backed up. We don't really have a big story about why we are here; it’s just a busy pizza place on a busy road. We make sure the toppings are ready and the boxes are folded. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it feels good when the shift is over and we’ve fed a lot of people. Every night we mop the floors and turn off the ovens, getting ready for the next day. Sometimes it feels like we never leave.
