Our workshop is at unit 125 inside the Guru Gobind Singh Industrial Estate. We are pretty close to Jay Coach in Goregaon, so it's easy enough for people to find us if they know the area well. The estate is always full of activity, especially in the mornings when everyone is arriving for work. We deal with clothes, mostly. It’s a lot of pattern making and sewing. The room is usually filled with the sound of machines clicking away. It’s a bit messy with threads and scraps everywhere, but that’s just part of the job we do. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just the workspace and some storage for the finished garments. The light in the afternoon is good for checking the colors on the fabric. We’ve got a small crew. We all know what needs to be done. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up fast. Goregaon has changed a lot, but this industrial pocket stays pretty much the same. It’s a reliable place to work. We just try to keep the quality steady and the orders moving out the door. It’s not a glamorous life, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We like the routine of it all, even on the days when things go a bit wrong. It’s just us doing what we know in our little corner of the estate.
