If you go down I.B. Patel Road in Goregaon East, you’ll find us at Rocky Industrial Estate No. 1. We’re in unit 42. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the other units, but we like the energy of it. We’ve been running Divya Chirag Industries from this spot for quite some time now. The floor is concrete and there’s always a bit of oil or grease somewhere because that’s just the nature of industrial work. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for a long time. We don't wear uniforms or have big meetings in boardrooms. We just gather around the machines and figure out the plan for the day. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we have a couple of big fans that keep the air moving. Our office is just a small partitioned area in the corner where we keep the computer and the ledger. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because we’ve been in the estate so long and word gets around. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s honest work and we take it seriously. There’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around, so everyone stays pretty fit. At the end of the day, we lock up the shutters and head home like everyone else in Goregaon. We don't make a big deal about things, we just do our jobs and try to do them right. It’s a simple life.
