Our office is tucked away on the second floor of Seerin Chambers. It’s right on Satara Road, just across from the White House building in Malabar Hill. We’ve been working out of this space for a while now, focusing on design and structural stuff. It’s not a huge studio, just a few desks and a lot of paper samples and drawings scattered around. We usually have tea going in the back while we look over plans. Malabar Hill is a quiet area for the most part, which helps when we need to concentrate on the details of a project. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or trying to figure out why a specific material isn't arriving on time. We don’t have a big receptionist or a lobby. You just walk up the stairs and you’ll find us. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples lying on the floor, but it works for us. We do a lot of local work, helping people figure out how to make their spaces look a bit better or more functional. Sometimes the traffic on Satara Road makes it hard for clients to find us the first time, but once they see the sign for Seerin Chambers, they get here. We aren't some big corporate firm with a hundred employees. It’s just a small team trying to get the work done right. We prefer it this way because we can actually talk to everyone.
