Dinkar Tailor

Dinkar Tailor is located in Shop No 32 within the New Kalaniketan Building in Vile Parle West. We are very close to the McDonald's there, so if you can find the burgers, you can find us. Our shop is a small space filled with fabrics, threads, and the sound of sewing machines running most of the day. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a few people inside for measurements, but we make it work. Vile Parle West is a busy area and there’s always something happening right outside the door. We’ve been here for a long time and have seen many people grow up in this neighborhood. The shop has shelves reaching up to the ceiling because we need to store so many different materials. It’s not a fancy boutique with bright lights; it is just a workplace where we sit and stitch. Sometimes the light in the building is a bit dim, but we have our own lamps to see the fine details. We get to know our customers pretty well since they come back year after year. It is a simple life of measuring, cutting, and sewing. We don't use a lot of fancy computers, just our hands and the machines. If you drop by, you will probably see us hunched over a piece of cloth. That’s what we do every day and we are happy with that.
