Dilip Jethalal & Co is on the 5th floor of the Khimasia Building, in the 'A' Wing at 283/A, 5th Road in Chembur. We are quite close to Diamond Garden, which is a nice landmark to have nearby. Being on the 5th floor means we are a bit away from the street noise, though the elevator in this building can be a bit moody sometimes. Our office is a traditional setup with a lot of wooden desks and heavy registers. We have been here for a long time, and the place feels lived-in. There are stacks of files everywhere because we like to keep hard copies of everything we do. Chembur is a busy area, but our corner of it feels a bit more established and steady. We spend our days meeting with people and going over accounts or legal documents. It is a quiet kind of work that requires a lot of concentration. We don't have any modern open-plan office layout; we prefer the old-fashioned rooms where you can actually close a door. We usually have lunch together in the small pantry area. It is a very predictable routine, which is actually quite nice. We know the building security and the other tenants in the Khimasia Building well. We are just a local firm doing our work the way we have always done it without much fuss.
