Diabetes Centre

The Diabetes Centre is located right inside Sujay Hospital on Gulmohar Road in Juhu. It’s easy to find because we’re right next to the Talwalkars Gymnasium on Sarang Street. It is kind of funny having a gym right next to us, but it makes sense for what we do. People come in and out all day checking their sugar levels and talking about their diets. The Khoka Bazaar area gets really crowded in the afternoons, so sometimes patients come in a bit frustrated with the parking. We have a small waiting area where folks sit while they wait to see someone. Most people who come here have been dealing with health stuff for years, so we see a lot of the same faces every month. It’s not a huge place, but we keep it clean and keep things moving as much as possible. Managing sugar isn't easy for anyone, and we hear a lot of stories about people trying to stay away from sweets or trying to walk more. Our staff is mostly busy with blood tests and writing things down in files. We’ve been at this spot for a good bit now. Some days are quieter than others, but there’s usually someone sitting in the chair getting a check-up. We just try to help folks understand what their numbers mean without making it too complicated or scary for them. It is just a regular medical spot where people come to get their sugar sorted out.
