Our place, Dia Centre, is right next door to a lot of similar businesses in Prasad Chambers. We are in room 1409. Opera House is a fast-paced place, and we just fit into the middle of it all. We spend our time dealing with the details of the trade. It’s mostly paperwork, checking orders, and making sure things get sent to the right people. The office isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we put everything. We have some basic cabinets for our records and a table where we can look at things properly under a good lamp. The walk from Charni Road can be a bit much when it's raining, but that’s just part of working in this part of town. We’ve known the neighbors for years, and we often see them in the corridors or while waiting for the lift. It’s not a fancy job. It’s mostly about being careful and keeping track of the small things. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it’s very quiet and we just catch up on the filing. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just stay here in 1409 and do our daily work. It’s a practical way to earn a living. The tea stall downstairs knows our order by heart now. We just keep going, day after day, in this busy building with everyone else.
