Dharmesh Jewellers Private Limited

Our place, Dharmesh Jewellers Private Limited, is up on the first floor of Golden Plaza. The shop number is 104. We are right in the middle of Zaveri Bazar on Dhanji Street. If you’ve ever been to Zaveri Bazar, you know how packed those narrow lanes can get with people and carts. It’s the heart of the jewelry trade in the city. Being on the first floor gives us a little bit of a break from the chaos on the street level, though you can still hear the shouting and horns all day long. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. The shop is mostly counters and some old chairs for customers to sit on while they look at pieces. We deal with gold and diamonds mostly. My father started things here, and now we just keep it going the same way he did. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning that works all the time, but it’s a real workplace. Most of our customers are other traders or families who have been buying from us for generations. They know the way to 93/95 Dhanji Street by heart. We spend our afternoons drinking tea and talking to the neighbors from the other shops. It’s a small community in this building. We just try to be fair and do our jobs properly every day.
