D.H. A1 Bag

We have been here at Bharatiya Chawl for a good while now. It is a busy spot near Sant Kakkaya Marg and we have grown used to the noise. Most days it is just us working on the floor, getting bags ready for whoever needs them. People around here in Dharwada know where to find us. It is not a fancy office or anything like that, just a ground floor space where we keep the machines running and the materials stacked up. We usually start quite early in the morning. Sometimes the street gets very crowded with people heading to work, so we just stay inside and focus on the stitching. We want to make sure the handles are strong and the seams do not rip. It gets a bit dusty sometimes, but that is just part of it. We have a few guys helping out with the heavy lifting. We do not really do big advertisements or anything. Usually, someone just walks in or calls us because they saw the sign while passing by M. G. Marg. We handle whatever orders come our way, mostly simple stuff that people use every day for their shopping or carrying things. The weather gets really hot in this part of Mumbai, so we keep the old fans going all day. It is a lot of physical work, lifting rolls and packing things into bundles. We have seen the neighborhood change, but our corner stays the same.
