Designs For Living

Designs For Living is over in Chembur on Sadhu Vaswani Road. We are in D/7. It’s a nice, leafy part of the city, which makes coming to work a bit better. We have been here for a few years now. The office is small and feels a bit like a home, which I guess makes sense given our name. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or anyone in a suit greeting you at the door. It’s usually just one of us opening up and getting the computers started. We spend our days working on different layouts and ideas. Sometimes we go out to visit sites, but mostly we are right here at D/7. The road outside is busy during rush hour, but otherwise, it’s a pretty calm spot. We have a few desks pushed together and shelves full of books and samples. It’s a bit crowded, but we like having everything within reach. We don’t do much in the way of advertising. We just focus on the people who come to us. Chembur is a good place to be because of the community. We know the people at the local shops and they know us. It’s a very local way of doing business. We aren’t trying to change the world. We just want to make sure the work we do is decent and that people are happy with it. It’s a quiet life here at D/7 and we like it.
