We've been at 11/81 in Anand Nagar for a while now. It's right near the BSES office in Santacruz East, so people usually find us easily when they're in the neighborhood. We handle watches. It's mostly about keeping things running or helping people find something that looks decent on their wrist. The shop isn't huge, but we have enough room for what we do. Dealing with watches takes a lot of patience because the parts are so small and easy to lose if you aren't careful. Some days it’s just us sitting at the bench for hours. We get all kinds of people coming in. Some want something fancy, others just need their old battery changed. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. It’s just a regular place where we work with timepieces every day. If you walk down 11th Road, you'll see us. It gets busy around here sometimes, especially with the traffic near the station side, but inside it’s usually quiet enough to concentrate. We started out small and stayed that way because it works for us. My hands are usually a bit stained from the oils we use, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything. It's just a practical workspace for people who care about their watches. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here doing the same thing. It’s a decent living and we know our regulars by name now.
