Desai Electronics is tucked away in Ram Niwas at number 8 Tara Temple Lane. If you know the area off Lamington Road, you know it is the heart of the electronics trade. Our shop is small and it is usually overflowing with all sorts of parts and components. There are boxes piled up and wires hanging from the shelves. It looks a bit messy to an outsider but we know exactly where every single item is kept. We have been here for years and we have seen the street change a lot over time. People come to us when they need a specific bit for a repair or a project they are working on. We spend a lot of time behind the counter testing things or looking for small pieces in our drawers. It is a busy atmosphere with people always coming and going. The lane is narrow and crowded but that is just how it is here. We don't have a fancy showroom or a lot of space for customers to sit. Most people just stand at the counter and tell us what they need. We have a loyal group of regulars who have been coming to us for a long time. It is a good feeling to be part of this community. We just keep our heads down and do our work every day without making any big fuss about it.
