Demag Cranes And Components

This is the Demag Cranes and Components office over in Andheri West, Mumbai. We are at 42/E-17 in Manish Nagar. It’s right near the Four Bungalows area on J.P. Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how packed this part of town is. There is always a lot of noise from the street, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We handle the crane business from this office. It’s mostly about coordinating repairs, orders, and parts for all the big lifting machines out there in the city and beyond. We have desks covered in papers and phones that don't seem to stop ringing some mornings. It’s a small space, so we all know each other’s business. We have a little corner where we keep the kettle for tea, which is pretty much the most important part of the office. We don’t have any big corporate signs or fancy lighting. It’s just a place where work gets done. Most of us take the local train or buses to get here, so we know the daily struggle of the Mumbai commute. We understand that when a customer’s crane is down, they are losing money, so we try to move as fast as the city traffic allows. It is a lot of logistics and talking to technicians on the move. We just do our bit to keep the local industry moving, one part at a time. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, but we get through it by the end of the day and head home.
