Della Tecnica Office Systems is located in Mumbai, though the address sometimes lists Tamil Nadu due to some old paperwork mix-up. We are actually at 303, Anuradha, which is part of the Amrut Kumbh Co-operative Housing Society. The area is around 400 028, near Dadar and Prabhadevi. It’s a residential building, so our office is basically a converted apartment on the third floor. We deal with office systems, which means we spend a lot of time thinking about desks, chairs, and how people set up their workspaces. It’s ironic because our own office is quite small and cluttered with samples and catalogs. We don’t have a showroom or anything like that. If someone wants to see what we have, they usually just come up to the flat and we show them whatever we have on hand. The housing society is pretty old, so the walls are thick and the windows are small. We’ve been here for a good while, and the neighbors are used to seeing delivery guys bringing in heavy boxes of equipment. It can get a bit hectic when we have a big order going out, and we have to coordinate everything from a residential elevator. We just take things as they come and try to stay on top of the orders without making too much of a mess in the hallway for the other residents.
