We’ve been based out of Kandivli West for a while now, specifically in Poinsur. Our small office is tucked away in Narayan Bhalu Chal on St Antony Road. It’s not a fancy place, just where we keep the paperwork and meet for tea before heading out to different sites. Life here in Mumbai is always fast, so we spend most of our time on the road or at the building spots. We deal with cement, bricks, and all the usual mess that comes with construction. People around here know us because we’ve been in the neighborhood for years. Usually, you’ll find some of the guys hanging around the entrance talking about the next slab we have to pour. It gets pretty loud sometimes with the traffic from the main road nearby, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have any big flashy signs, just a small board so people can find the right door. The rain during monsoon makes things tricky, especially in the chawl area, but we manage to keep the work moving. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power cuts out for a bit, so we just do things the old way with a pen and a notepad. It’s a simple setup we have here, nothing too complicated. We just focus on getting the jobs done one day at a time without much fuss or needing to look like a big corporation.
