Deepak Packaging

Our shop is over on Kherani Road in Saki Naka. We are at Gala No. 13, which is right near the Durga Temple. Saki Naka is always packed with people and traffic, so it’s a very lively place to be. We handle packaging work here. It’s mostly boxes, tape, and a lot of lifting. The space we have is a bit tight, especially when a big load of cardboard comes in. We have to stack things all the way to the ceiling sometimes. It’s just me and a couple of guys working the floor. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the boxes are strong enough for whatever they are going to carry. The temple nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We hear the bells and the music from there while we are packing. It’s hard work and it gets dusty, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to be the biggest packaging company in Mumbai. We just want to do right by the people who walk in the door. Most of our customers are locals who need stuff moved or shipped. We don't spend money on ads. We just keep the door open and stay busy. It’s a simple operation in a very busy neighborhood. We’ve been at this gala for a while and we know the street well.
