Darbar

Darbar is right there on LBS Marg in Borivali West. We are in Shop No 6 at the Patel Shopping Center, which is just next to the Rajmahal Hotel. It’s a small space, but we make it work. Most days are spent watching the cars go by on the main road. The shopping center gets a lot of foot traffic, especially in the evenings when families are out. We aren't trying to be anything fancy or high-end. It’s just a local shop where people stop in while they are doing their other errands. Sometimes we stand outside just to get some fresh air. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody seems to mind. We have been here for a good while, and the neighbors all know us by name. It gets quite hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the shop. We keep the door open anyway. Dealing with the public means you meet all sorts of people. Some are in a hurry, others want to chat for twenty minutes about nothing. We just take it as it comes. Borivali is a crowded place, and we are just one small part of that. There’s no big secret to how we run things, we just show up and open the shutters.
