Dance Space

Dance Space is over in Bandra West at Tommy Hall in Pali Village. It’s a cool little area with a lot of old history and narrow lanes. The hall itself has been around for ages. It’s not a modern glass building like the ones you see in the new parts of town. It’s got high ceilings and wooden floors that creak quite a bit when you move around. We like it because it has a certain feel that you can't find in a gym. People come here to dance and just move their bodies. It’s not a fancy studio with mirrors on every wall and perfect lighting. It’s more of a community space for the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time sweeping the floor because the dust always gets in from the village roads outside. Pali Village is a nice spot to walk through if you have the time. We’ve got a small group of people who run the place. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. We just open the doors and let people in. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the fans are old and slow, but nobody seems to mind once they start dancing. We’ve been here at Tommy Hall for a while now. It’s a simple setup for simple people.
