Damani Shipping Pvt Ltd is located in the Fort area, which anyone from Mumbai knows is a place with a lot of history. Our office is at 205-206 Varma Chambers on 11 Homji Street. It’s one of those old buildings where the hallways have a certain smell and the stairs have seen a lot of feet over the decades. Being in Fort means we are right in the middle of everything related to trade and old-school business. The streets around Homji Street are narrow and always full of people rushing somewhere. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s just rooms filled with desks, files, and people talking on phones. Working in shipping from a place like Varma Chambers feels right because this area has been the heart of commerce for so long. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the elevators are slow, but that’s just life in an old Mumbai building. We don’t bother with marketing slogans because our work is mostly about the details of moving goods. You won’t find any glossy brochures here. We just come in, deal with the customs and the cargo issues, and head home when the job is done. It’s a bit noisy outside with the traffic and the street vendors, but inside we just keep our heads down and get on with it. It’s a very grounded way to run a company.
