You can find Daman Electronic Industries up in the Navjivan Commercial Premises, room 806-R. We are pretty close to Lamington Road, which is basically the heart of the electronics world in this city. Being on the eighth floor means we get a bit of a break from the noise downstairs, but it is still a busy place to work. We deal with all sorts of electronic components and industrial parts. It’s mostly technical work that requires a lot of focus and a steady hand. The office is filled with shelves and drawers full of small bits and pieces that most people wouldn't recognize. We spend our days answering the phone and checking the stock levels. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is necessary for the local factories and repair shops that depend on us. Sometimes the elevator takes forever, especially during the lunch rush, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We are just a group of people who know our way around a circuit board and like to stay busy. We don’t have a big marketing department or a polished reception area. Instead, we have workbenches and a lot of shipping labels. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We’ve been here at Navjivan for quite a while and we know most of the other tenants in the building. It feels like a little community of its own up here. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving along.
