New Vinayak Textile

You can find New Vinayak Textile over at Shop No. 7 in the Keshar Baug building. We are right by Shanti Coffee House in Dadar East, which is a busy little corner of the city. The shop is filled with rolls of fabric and different materials we’ve collected. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for whoever walks in. Dadar is known for textiles, so there’s always a lot of activity on the street outside. We spend most of our time measuring out cloth, talking to customers about what they’re looking for, and keeping the shelves somewhat organized. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bolts of fabric and moving things around to find the right color or pattern. Sometimes the dust from the threads gets everywhere, but that is just part of the job. We don’t really do fancy displays or anything. It’s more about having what people need when they come looking. The area around Hind Mata is always buzzing, especially during the festive seasons when everyone is looking for new clothes. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors all know us. We just keep things simple. If someone needs a specific type of textile, we check our piles and see if we have it. It’s a basic way of doing things, but it has worked for us so far.
