Red Angel

We are located on the first floor of Jay Gopal Industrial Estate in Dadar West. Being right on Bhavani Shankar X Road means there's always something happening outside, usually a lot of noise and people moving about. It’s a busy building with lots of small businesses like ours. Our unit, number 113, is where we spend most of our time. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work with all the fabric and sewing machines around. Dadar is the heart of the city for this kind of work. You can hear the trains passing by if it's quiet enough, which it rarely is. We handle a lot of different pieces throughout the week. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when a big shipment comes in, but that’s just how it is in an old industrial estate. We’ve got a few windows that look out, but mostly we are focused on what’s on the tables. The stairs can be a bit steep when you’re carrying rolls of cloth up to the first floor. We’ve been in this spot for a good while now. Most people in the building know us. We just do our thing, day in and day out. It's a lot of cutting and stitching. It gets tiring, but seeing the finished stuff stacked up is alright at the end of the day. We don't have anything fancy here, just a lot of thread and hard work on the machines.
