D. Nitin & Co.

D. Nitin & Co. is based out of 16, Pratik Arcade, which is on the first floor. We are right on Tata Road No. 2 in the Opera House area. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded it gets around here. There is always someone shouting or a horn honking outside. Our office isn't very large, but it fits us well enough. We’ve got stacks of paper everywhere and the phones never seem to stop ringing for long. Being on the first floor is nice because we don't have to wait for the lift, which is usually stuck on the top floor anyway. The light in the hallway is a bit dim, but once you step inside our place, it’s bright enough to see what you’re doing. We’ve been in this spot for a good while now. Most of the other people in the building know us by name. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who come in with questions. It’s not always exciting, but it’s what we do. The tea stall right outside the main gate is where we get our morning fix. It’s a bit of a ritual for us. The desk chairs have seen better days, and the floor could use a good scrub, but it feels like home. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything, we just try to get through the work pile before it’s time to head back to the station. It’s just a normal day for us here on Tata Road.
