Croissants Etc

Croissants Etc is located out in Andheri East, which is a busy part of the city with lots of offices and traffic. We start work when it’s still dark outside so that the ovens are ready by the time the first commuters show up. The smell of baking dough usually fills up the whole street for a bit, which is nice. It’s a simple setup we have here, with a few counters and some cooling racks in the back. The floor is concrete and gets a bit dusty from all the flour, so we are always sweeping. We don’t have a lot of seating, so most people just grab their bags and head to the station. We see the same faces every morning, people looking a bit tired before they start their long workdays. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, and we have to tell people we're sorry but we'll have more tomorrow. The weather in Andheri East can be pretty humid, so we have to watch how we store everything so it stays right. We don't use any fancy packaging, just plain paper bags that get the job done. The staff is mostly just a few of us who have lived in the area for years. We talk about the local cricket scores or the latest road construction while we work. It’s a practical business, and we just try to keep things moving along without making too much of a fuss.
