Creative Telecom Systems

Our spot is in Kandivali East, inside the Natraj Cooperative Society at number 105. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than being right on a main commercial road, which we actually prefer. Creative Telecom Systems has been operating from here for a while. We mainly deal with phone systems and wiring. It’s the kind of work that most people don’t think about until it stops working. Then it becomes the most important thing in the world. We understand that. Our team is small, just a few of us who have the tools and the experience to get things connected. We spend a lot of time on ladders or under desks. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we know how to do. The office in the society is where we keep our inventory and where we plan out the day. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the cables and phones we keep on hand. We’ve grown to know our neighbors well over the years. It feels more like a community than a business district. When someone calls us, they’re usually frustrated because their lines are down. We just try to get there, find the break, and fix it. We don't use a lot of jargon. We just explain what happened and how we’re going to patch it up. It’s been working for us so far, so we just keep at it day by day. That’s our life here.
