Our place, Creative Autodrapes Pvt. Ltd., is at Gala-1 in the Gulistan Apartments on Sasmira Marg in Worli. It’s a bit of an older building, and our unit is on the ground floor, which makes it easier for moving things in and out. Inside, you’ll find rolls of fabric and various materials used for car drapes and interiors. There are a few heavy-duty sewing machines that make quite a bit of noise when they’re all running at once. Worli is a busy part of the city, so there’s always a lot of traffic and people moving around on Sasmira Marg. The workshop can get a bit stuffy in the summer, but we keep the big doors open to let some air in. We’ve been working out of this gala for a long time now. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s a working shop where things actually get made. You’ll usually see scraps of cloth on the floor and tools sitting out on the benches. We don't have a marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us doing the stitching and the fitting. People bring their cars by, and we figure out what needs to be done right there on the spot. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We’ve gotten to know the other shop owners in Gulistan Apartments pretty well over the years, and we all kind of look out for each other. It’s a simple, hardworking environment.
