Crawley & Ray

Our place, Crawley & Ray, is located at unit 27 in the Nirman Industrial Estate. We’re right off the New Link Road in the Chincholi area of Malad West. It’s a busy industrial estate, so there’s always the sound of machinery and vans loading up nearby. Our unit is a mix of a small office and some storage space. We’ve got shelves lining the walls filled with different parts and equipment. It’s a bit cramped, especially when a new delivery comes in and we have to find space for it all. The floor is concrete and we’ve got some old metal desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor or making it look pretty. We’re more concerned with getting the orders out to people who need them. The New Link Road traffic can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually try to wrap things up and head out before it gets too bad. We have a small sink in the back and a place to hang our coats. It’s a very practical setup. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time, so we’re more like a small family than just coworkers. We just do our jobs, chat about the cricket scores, and make sure the business stays running smoothly without too much fuss. It's just a regular way to earn a living.
