Our shop is Shop 12A on the first floor of Manish Market, which is on Palton Road near Crawford Market. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know it’s absolutely packed with people and shops. It’s a loud, energetic place to be. We’ve been here for a long time now, dealing with all things related to mobile phones. The shop is quite small, so we have to use every inch of space for stock and repair tools. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a lounge or anything. It’s just counters and a lot of boxes. We spend our days talking to customers and fixing various phone issues. It’s a lot of fast-paced work. We don't really have time for polished marketing. People usually find us because they’re already in the market or someone told them about us. It gets really warm in here during the summer, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. There’s always a bit of a crowd in the corridors outside. We’ve gotten to know the other shopkeepers around us over the years. It’s a tough, busy way to make a living, but we enjoy the hustle. We just take the phones, see what’s wrong, and try to get them back to the owners as fast as we can without much fuss.
