Kapadia Exports

Kapadia Exports is up on the 4th floor of the Cooper Building, which is located at No. 2384 on Princess Street. It is a bit of a climb since the lift does not always want to work correctly, but the view from the top floor is decent. Princess Street is usually jammed with traffic and people, so being four floors up gives us a little bit of distance from all that noise. The office is tucked at the end of the hallway. It is a fairly large room but it is filled with crates and boxes waiting to go out. We have a few desks scattered around and some old chairs for when we need to sit down and go over the ledgers. The windows in the Cooper Building are large, so we get a good amount of natural light during the day. We have been in this spot for a long time. The wooden floorboards in the office have some scuffs from moving furniture around over the years. We do not really have a lobby or a waiting room, just the main area where all the work happens. It is a practical workspace, not somewhere meant for showing off. We keep the kettle going for tea and usually have the radio playing quietly in the background. It is a steady place to work, and being in a historic building like this has its own kind of charm despite the daily quirks.
