Our office is located at 10 Bibibai Terrace on Spence Lane in Byculla. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, and things are always moving fast around here. At Consolidated Shipping Line India Pvt. Ltd., we spend our days dealing with containers and shipping schedules. It isn't like the movies; it's mostly us sitting at our desks in Mumbai, talking to people at the ports and checking on vessel arrivals. The lane can get pretty crowded, so getting in and out sometimes takes a bit of patience. We handle the documents and the logistics that go along with moving things over the ocean. There are always a lot of forms to fill out and rules to follow, which keeps us pretty busy. We’ve got a small team here and we’ve known each other for years. We don’t really do big meetings or fancy presentations. We just get the work done and go home. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment is delayed or there’s a problem at the docks. That is just part of the job. We like being in Byculla because it feels like the real heart of the city. We aren't in a shiny glass tower, just a regular building where we can focus on the shipping business. It's practical and it works for us and the people we help.
