Up here on the 14th floor of Dalamal Tower, the view of Nariman Point is something else, though honestly, we usually have the blinds halfway down because of the sun glare. It’s office number 1406, and if the elevator is working right, it’s a quick trip up. The hallway outside is usually quiet but once you step inside our place, it’s a different story. There is a lot of back and forth about orders and shipping schedules. We spend a lot of time on the computer or talking to the factory people on the phone. The desks are covered in samples and blueprints that have seen better days. Lunch usually involves someone going down to grab sandwiches or just eating at the desk while typing away. It’s a busy spot, especially in the afternoons when everyone is trying to hit their deadlines before the day ends. We’ve got a small team here, and we all know each other’s habits by now, like who drinks too much coffee or who leaves their files in a messy heap. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of stock coming through, but we manage the space okay. It’s just a regular office life in one of the busiest parts of Mumbai, trying to keep everything moving without too much fuss. We aren't big on meetings; we just talk across the room when something needs sorting.
