Collar Pack Pvt Ltd is based in the Marol Co-Op Industrial Estate in Andheri East. We’re at number 49 on M.V Road. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how busy it gets with the metro construction and all the traffic. Our factory is right in the middle of it. We spend our days making shirt collars and various packaging inserts. It’s a lot of cutting and shaping. The machines run almost constantly to keep up with the demands of the garment industry. The space is a bit tight because we have so much raw material stored on the shelves. Most of us take the train or the metro to get here every morning. It’s a short walk from the station if the weather is okay. We have a small office tucked away in the corner where the phone rings quite a bit with people asking about their orders. It’s a noisy environment, but we’re used to it by now. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the quality is what it needs to be for the shirts. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements. Most people find us through word of mouth in the textile market. It’s just hard work and long hours in the industrial estate. We’ve been here for a while and have seen many shops come and go, but we keep plugging away at our machines. We just want to get the job done right.
