Our work is mainly about looking at how things corrode and finding ways to stop it. We put out reviews and engineering notes that help people understand why their steel or concrete is failing. It’s a lot of reading, writing, and looking at photos of rusty pipes. Dattar Mansion is an old building with a lot of character, and our office is full of files and old journals. We aren't a big fancy engineering firm with glass walls. We are just a few people who really know about anti-corrosion methods. Most days are spent talking to engineers or checking on the latest industry standards. It can be a bit dry for some people, but for us, it’s interesting to see how the environment affects different materials. We try to be honest in our reviews and give people information they can actually use in the field. Being in Santacruz makes it easy for people to reach us, even if the traffic is a nightmare. We just keep our heads down and focus on the technical details that keep buildings from falling apart too soon.
