Gentleman Chronographe

Gentleman Chronographe is situated right by Churchgate Station, which means we are in one of the busiest spots in the whole city. If you’ve ever been to Churchgate, you know the constant sound of the local trains and the thousands of people rushing past every few minutes. Our shop is small, but it’s a bit of a quiet corner in all that madness. We spend most of our time looking through small magnifying glasses at the inner workings of watches. There are clocks on the walls all ticking at slightly different times, which creates a strange rhythm in the shop. Being so close to the station, we get a lot of people who are in a hurry, wanting a quick fix for their watch strap or a new battery before they catch their train. It is a lot of fine work that needs a steady hand. I usually sit at the main bench near the window so I can see what I’m doing in the natural light. We’ve been here long enough to see the city change around the station, but our little shop stays pretty much the same. It is a bit dusty and cramped with old tools and spare parts, but we know where everything is. We don't have any fancy marketing, just the watches in the window and the sign out front. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. The trains keep us on schedule even if we aren't riding them.
