Chirag Poly Tarp

Chirag Poly Tarp is located at 26, Surat Street in Dana Bunder, right near the Masjid area. If you know Mumbai, you know how packed this part of town gets. It’s all about the docks and the markets here. We deal with poly tarps, which are always in demand when the monsoon hits or when people need to cover their goods. The street is narrow and there are always handcarts and trucks blocking the way. It’s a bit chaotic, but there’s a lot of energy in the air. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while now. The shop is filled with rolls of material and the sound of cutting and stitching. We don’t have a fancy showroom. What you see is what you get. We talk to a lot of transporters and laborers who need something tough to protect their cargo. It’s honest work. We spend our days measuring out sheets and making sure the eyelets are punched in right. Sometimes we’re so busy we barely have time for a tea break, and other times we’re just waiting for the next truck to arrive. It’s a tight-knit community here in Dana Bunder. Everyone knows everyone’s business. We just try to keep our quality steady and our word good. It’s a simple setup at Chirag Poly Tarp, just us and the heavy fabric we handle every day.
