Chevalier Designs

We are tucked away in G 72 of the Heera Panna Shopping Center. It is right in Hiranandani Gardens in Powai. If you have ever been to Heera Panna, you know it can be a bit of a maze with all the different shops and hallways. Our little corner, Chevalier Designs, is where we spend most of our time. We have a lot of samples and old drawings pinned to the walls. It is not a very big shop, so we have to be careful about where we put things so we do not trip over the boxes. Powai is a busy place, but once you step inside the shopping center, it feels a bit different. We have been working out of this unit for a few years. Sometimes the air conditioning in the mall is too cold, and other times it does not seem to work at all. We just keep a sweater handy for those days. We do not have a big team of designers; it is just a couple of us who like to make things and work with our hands. We use a lot of paper and pencils, and there is usually a layer of dust from the materials we use. We do not do much marketing or anything like that. Most people just walk by and see what we are doing through the glass. It is a bit cramped when people are inside, but we make it work.
