Chemipack Corporation

Chemipack Corporation is tucked away on the 7th floor of the Winsway Complex in Andheri East. Getting into the office every morning is a bit of a task because the traffic in this part of Mumbai is always a nightmare. We’ve been in room A/702 for years now. The office is a bit small and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’ve got all our files and samples exactly where we need them. We handle chemicals and packaging, which means a lot of phone calls and dealing with transport guys who are usually late. It’s just a few of us here. We don't have a big corporate setup with meetings and fancy titles. Mostly, we sit at our desks, drink far too much coffee, and try to make sure the shipments go out to the right places. Sometimes the lift in the building stops working and we have to climb the stairs, which isn't fun at our age. We eat our lunch out of tiffin boxes and talk about the cricket scores. It’s a plain, honest kind of job. We don’t have a view of the sea, just other office blocks and the tops of some trees. We stay until the work is finished, then we head back into the crowd to catch the train home. It’s just how things go for us.
