Chemicoat

Down on the ground floor of Mahavir Indl. Estate, you’ll find our place, Chemicoat. We are at unit 116, which is just off Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East. It’s a crowded part of Mumbai, and parking is always a nightmare, but we’ve been here long enough that we don’t mind it much. We deal with coatings and chemicals, hence the name. The air in the shop usually has that sharp, chemical scent, but that’s just how work smells to us. We’ve got a small crew that knows the ropes. Most of them have been with us for years. We aren’t trying to change the world; we’re just trying to make sure the batches are mixed correctly and the customers are satisfied with what they pick up. The office is small and usually piled with papers and samples. It’s not the kind of place you see in a magazine. It’s a real working space. We get a lot of locals coming in, and sometimes people from across the city who manage to find us despite the traffic. Andheri East is always moving, and we just move along with it. We handle the orders, talk to the suppliers, and try to keep everything running smoothly. Some days the humidity makes things tricky with the formulas, but we manage. That’s just how it goes here at Chemicoat.
