Nagpal Estate Agency is situated at 3/103 in the M S Building, which is part of the Chembur Colony on C G Road. This is the old F C I Bombay area, so the neighborhood has a very specific feel to it that hasn't changed much over the years. Our office is on the third floor, and it is a modest space where we keep track of all the local listings. We have been working in Chembur Colony for a long time, so we know most of the building secretaries and the history of the different blocks around C G Road. People usually come up to the office after hearing about us from someone else in the colony. We spend a lot of time on the phone, talking to owners who are moving out or people looking for a small place to rent. The M S Building is an older structure, so it has that solid, lived-in atmosphere. We don't have any big posters or neon signs. There is just a small nameplate by the door. Most of our day is spent walking to different flats to show them to potential tenants or sitting at the desk writing out receipts. It can be tiring when the lift isn't working right, but that is part of the daily routine here. We just try to keep things organized and make sure everyone knows what the terms are before they sign anything. It’s a small, local operation that runs on daily habits.
