Chembur Service Station

Chembur Service Station is situated on S T Road, right on Purve Marg in Chembur. We are directly opposite the Corporate Park, which is funny because those buildings are all glass and shiny, while we are covered in oil and grease most of the day. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s never a dull moment with cars and bikes pulling in for a checkup or a quick fix. We’ve got the lifts and the tool chests lined up, and the floor is always a bit slick no matter how much we sweep it. The mechanics have been working together for years, so they can usually tell what’s wrong with an engine just by listening to it for a minute. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a few plastic chairs in the shade where customers can sit and check their phones. It gets pretty hot in the afternoon when the sun hits the pavement, so we drink a lot of water and stay under the roof. We see all kinds of vehicles, from old beat-up taxis to the fancy cars coming from the Corporate Park. It’s a lot of hard work and washing your hands ten times a day, but we like being right here in the middle of the action in Chembur. The traffic never really stops on S T Road, so you just get used to the noise.
