Chambord Inc.

Our office is in the Sterling Apartment building on Pedder Road, unit 35-B. It’s an old building, the kind with thick walls and a bit of a salty breeze coming off the ocean nearby. Chambord Inc. isn't what you’d expect from a company name like that. It’s just a small apartment that we’ve turned into a workspace. We have desks where there used to be a dining table and files stored in the closets. It’s a bit tight when everyone is in at the same time. Pedder Road is always busy with cars and people, so there’s a constant background noise of horns and engines. We like it here, though. It feels more like a home than an office. We make our own coffee in the small kitchen and sometimes take our calls out on the balcony to see the view of the street. We don’t have a receptionist or a big lobby. You just ring the bell and come on in. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite a while. The carpets are a little worn and the shelves are sagging under the weight of all the binders. It’s a quiet kind of work we do here. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy glass building. We just need a place to sit and get the jobs finished. It’s practical, convenient, and right in the heart of South Mumbai. We just keep our heads down and do the paperwork.
