Century Granites & Minerals

Our office for Century Granites & Minerals is up on the second floor of 125-H on Sir M.V. Road. It is right across from Sangam Cinema, so it’s easy to find if you’re familiar with Andheri (East). Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a view of the chaos on the street below. The traffic in this part of town is always something else. We spend a lot of time looking at mineral samples and stone chips that are scattered across our tables. It’s a busy building with a lot of people coming and going. The lift works most of the time, but we often just take the stairs if we’re in a hurry. The office is filled with the smell of old paper and stone dust. We have samples of granite from all over stored in wooden crates in the corners. It’s not a very big space, but it’s where we do all our coordinating. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to drown out some of the honking from Sir M.V. Road. When clients come by, they usually mention the movie posters at Sangam. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now. It feels like home, even with the constant noise of the city right outside our windows. It’s just where we do our business every day and keep track of everything we have in stock.
