Calcutta Corporation

Calcutta Corporation is located at 72 74 in Gulal Wadi, over in the Khanda Colony area. It’s an old part of the city, and our building feels like it has a lot of history. We’ve been operating out of this space for a long time. The rooms are high-ceilinged and sometimes a bit dark, but we have our lights set up where we need them. We deal with a lot of trade stuff. It’s mostly paperwork, phone calls, and coordinating with people across the city. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come in, you’ll likely just see us at our wooden desks surrounded by ledgers and files. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, but it’s what we know. The street outside is always full of activity. You can hear the sounds of the market all day long. We have a few staff members who have been with us for decades. We’re more like a family than a corporation, despite the name. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Our reputation in the neighborhood is what keeps us going. We just try to be fair and do our jobs properly. It’s not a complicated philosophy. We just show up, handle the business at hand, and close up shop in the evening. It’s been our routine for years.
