Our office is in Chembur, tucked away in the Acharya Commercial Center at room 226. To get to us, you have to go down Dr. C. Gidwani road, which is usually packed with cars and people going to work. We deal with industrial instruments and scientific tools. It’s a lot of technical stuff like pressure gauges and temperature sensors. The office is pretty small and it’s always filled with cardboard boxes and bubble wrap. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of people. There are only four of us here most days. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to engineers or trying to source specific parts that are hard to find. The desks are always a mess of wires and catalogs. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals written on the walls. We just try to make sure that the instruments we sell are accurate and that they get to the factories that need them. Sometimes the elevator in the building doesn't work, so we have to carry the heavy crates up the stairs. It’s not the easiest job, but we’ve been doing it for a long time now. We know our customers by name and they know they can just call us if something goes wrong with a meter. It’s just a simple, honest business running out of a busy corner of Chembur. We like the neighborhood even with all the noise.
