Burner Morison & Co. is tucked away inside the Chandu Studio Compound on Kurla-Kalina Road. If you’ve ever driven down this road, you know how busy and dusty it gets with all the trucks and construction happening nearby. Our spot is at number 104, and it’s a practical workspace more than anything else. We don’t have any of those modern glass walls or fancy lounges. It’s mostly just us working with the equipment and keeping track of the orders that come through. The compound has a lot of history to it, and you can feel that when you walk around. We have a small group of people here who have been working together for a long time, so we all know who handles what. Mornings start early with a lot of noise and by the time it’s evening, we’re usually just trying to tidy up the shop floor before heading home. The Kurla-Kalina area is always a bit of a scramble, especially during the monsoon when the roads get messy. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done. If someone needs to find us, they usually just look for the old studio gates. It’s a plain place, but it works for us and the kind of mechanical stuff we handle every day. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to, preferring to be out there actually doing things.
